Feng Shui is the art of creating harmonious personal space in which to realize our life goals. Originating more than 4000 years ago in Asia, Feng Shui emphasizes the balance of energy, or chi, where we live and work. As Feng Shui has gained acceptance in the West, we have come to better understand the ways in which our personal space affects us. Our physical environment mirrors our current life; to change our life, we change elements of our physical environment.
We can apply the principles of Feng Shui to positively affect issues of finance, career, health, relationships, and creativity. By using design elements and object placement to eliminate blocked energy, we can create a new, balanced environment in which our life circumstances shift along with the energy, one in which we can realize financial prosperity, a supportive relationship, or other personal and professional goals.

Space clearing releases stagnant energy from an environment, and is often performed before a Feng Shui consultation to elevate the energetic level of the space. Many ordinary events of daily life create energy blockages; when we argue, the energy of the argument remains. When we don’t get a promotion, or our kids do poorly in school, or a family member is sick, the energy of the emotion or event remains. And, just as we clean the visible dirt from our homes, the invisible energy can be cleaned as well.
Space clearing also eliminates “predecessor energy,” and is particularly important when moving into a new home or office because the energy that is already there can have a profound effect on our lives. History tends to repeat itself. If the previous occupants left because of divorce, bankruptcy, or illness, then the predecessor energy of the space can lead to the same marital discord, financial instability, or ill health in the new occupants.
